One thing that you can find a lot of at thrift stores is cashmere.  Finding luxury goods like cashmere for low prices is one of the joys of thrift shopping.  Even as little kids my children got to wear cashmere sweaters and scarves because I could buy them for $3.99 or less, instead of $80 or more!

A good post would have lots of pictures and links and information about taking care of cashmere and how its made and it would be well written.

There are very few things that I find that I feel the need to keep and collect.  Russian Woodcarving is one of those things.  I have a small collection of these kinetic russian bear toys, and some bear pictures, along with carved boxes and other odds and ends.  A good post would have lots of great pictures, information about russian wood carving and links and stuff.

Zandra Rhodes is a British designer famous for prints and wild combinations of print and color.  When I found a hand beaded silk Zandra Rhodes gown at the Mission Thrift, I had no idea who she was, I just knew that it was fine and unusual work.

This modular storage unit was designed in 1969 by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, and it is such a lovely expression of the style of the times.

These look just like the set of Heath Ceramics dishes I found at the Welfare League thrift store a few years ago.   It was a huge set of the rim line in two tone redwood.  Place settings for 12, serving dishes, mugs.  I paid $100 for the set, which was so much for me at the time that I only kept a few pieces, and sold the rest.
